#2 screen freezes when trying to enter commands during navigation. Got sick of waiting for it to respond so I turned ignition off and restarted. All reset back to normal.

apart from that the car has been faultless.

has anyone else experienced the above issues?
I picked up my Redline ute last Saturday. Impeccable drive but a few technical issues. iPod connectivity is poor. Huge lag time between music choice made and when mylink decides to find it. Sometimes upward of two minutes. Then, music choice is incorrect. Secondly, from time to time, the radio/whatever music you are listening to will cease as if a mute button has been hit. That can last a few minutes until other buttons are hit to change the source of music. I am also having issues with the rear speakers. They do not work. Have tried fade and balance and no noise coming from them at all. I did request the HVAC update to be done and I believe it was as the max temp is now 29, however, I am still getting cold air at 25 and very hot at 26 degrees. These are somewhat minor and maybe to be expected on a new vehicle and will no doubt be fixed under warranty. It's just that after waiting so long to get it, you do not want to have to spend time getting it back to the dealer for repairs not to mention that these are issues I am having straight off the bat rather than them appearing two or three months down the track. I will update people on how these issues are dealt with.........

Ok so I just went and checked the rear speakers in my ute. Seems I can only get bass sound coming from them, like having a sub woofer thats not a sub woofer. My climate control is the same too, has had the update but cold air at 25 and hot at 26.

I'd be interested to know if other VF Ute owners can get sound from rear speakers. It's hard to tell with the other cabin speakers working, I did not notice until I read the last post and went and stuck my ear right next to the rear speaker.

If you want to check if the rear speakers are working, just adjust the fader from front to back. If the rears are working, you will hear sound move from front to back. Same with checking left or right speaker, simply adjust balance. I have no sound from either rear speaker, left or right.

If I fade to rear I have no sound from any speakers. But if I fade to centre or forward I have sound from front speakers and some bass from rear speakers I'm sure. If I place my hand over the rear speaker I can feel it. Unless I can just feel the vibrations through the car to the rear speaker. It is quite difficult to get your ear right up against the speaker with the seat somewhat in the way. I will have another listen in the morning when my hearing is fresher and not sufferering industrial deafness.

What Max Temperature do you have?

Ok tested the temp properly yesterday, max temp is 30. Set at 24 it's perfectly warm, drop it to say 20 and it's nice and cool. So it works the way I would expect, this is a Sept built car if that makes any difference.
    Cheers.

VF starting to look a bit of a lemon.... MY sep 06 VE had nil problems. I do remember lots of people having battery drain problems though.

Hope holden get some fixes on the climate dramas sorted, but to have speakers not working etc sounds like the system isn't sorted

Why would you want rear speakers in a ute playing anything other than sub-sonics?

If they are there, they should work. Simple.

    Re: VF Commodore/HSV Owner's Problems & Complaints

Anyone else with a VF sedan only get bass from the rear parcel shelf speakers? I've had someone else check it and theirs is the same but is this right to only get bass out of those two large speakers?

Yes, they are 8" subs only, I have seen them removed (from VF). I can't confirm yet they're wired in phase though unlike VE.
