The smallish speedo has never bothered me. In fact if anything 86 has a very clean dash layout. No cheesy buttons on the steering wheel, just gauges and simple fall to hand stuff with a nice cruise control stalk down the side and the tacho slap/bang in the middle of the cluster. Ride quality for me was too soft and floaty hence the change to much harder spring rates and coil-over damper units in my own car...now THAT rides a little on the stiff side

Car reports are opinion based, and while Mike may like something less focussed, if you take that away from 86, then you lose the essence of the car IMO

Dead quiet thread this one! (lol)
Here is something to get the LS juices flowing - GM OTRCAI and Mafless tuning works bloody well on these little jiggers.
Just how the LS1 OTR was invented in Australia by the Paint Tray gang from Sydney, Toyota 86/BRZ Mafless/OTR is also another Aussie first.
Old lessons carried on to new technology - and it works!

It is a good fit Martin. So used to seeing it on a LS1 it makes you look twice just to make sure.

Powder coat it black Martin and it'd look sweet.

OTR looks great ... I have one of these booked through Hertz in Brisbane next week, thought I'd give it a try!

As Jeremy Clarkson says, it's a hire car which makes it the fastest car in the world!

    DENY YOURSELF NOTHING !!!

Now that would make the car something worth looking at.

    Re: Toyota 86

Pretty sure it's already been done... There has been some crazy swaps in these cars, but I think I'd be happy with one and a single turbo strapped to the side.

What results did you get with an OTR and tune Martin?
