Your welcome. Enjoy.
I've just read in a US blog that the SS is considered too soft and good sales aren't likely. Is that your view? If so that is a pity, as I see it the only chance we have of seeing an LT1 in a Commodore or HSV is if the Chevy SS is embraced in the US.
Is it just me or do they sound a little more aggressive than our version? :-)
I thought the same, I assume US has different regs to us on noise and pollution etc??

Aye, we only get one model, ls3, front brembos equipped, I think its pretty much the equivalent to the redline model. I believe this may be a test market launch car and if things go over well enough then the options/models will start trickling down. Its the most expensive sedan to be sold under the chevy badge till date, so that will factor into the aforementioned.
Have a look at the chevy SS forum vid section, there's a vid there of one SS fired up in a showroom. They seem to be much louder than the home grown Holden SS.
On a side note I was also watching a Jay Leno Garage vid this week and he mentioned that new vehicle Noise pollution targets are measured differently. They take all the noise a vehicle produces into consideration not just exhaust noise. If a particular car has been engineered well with very little engine and drivetrain noise at certain rpms the laws allow that manufacturer to run a more open exhaust system. It's a collective reading, I'm not sure if that's just in California but that's how he described it.

itsme4g63 thanks for posting...are you able to find out what the exhaust configuration is on these export models please ?
Cool video - like in invading army![]()
Mate of mine loads cars at the docks, he always says the Export cars seem much snappier than the Local ones!
