    Cross-6>8 swap

Anyone have one or any info/impressions they can share?

Have searched with little success, thanks guys!

All of my pics are being relocated to another Server as the traffic here is slaughtering my personal bandwidth each month.

Find the pictures here:- http://ij.supramania.com/public/ (you'll have to add an "h" to http for the link to function)

Each new update I'll post the pic in the thread.

    Re: Cross-6?

    I'd say they're good , 190kw

Do a search for cross 8 or AWD .

Take one for a test drive .

More curious about owning one and if they have any inherent issues

Even searching "awd" there's little specific information.

Moving to the country at the end of next month and a Cross 6 makes all kinds of sense on paper, thanks for the reply!

I would rather you said "I will drop by and get it tuned!"
They do actually tune up a treat, we got 150kw at all four wheels out of one that had an exhaust, which is only - just - off the pace of an LS1 Adventra

Well , I'm from the country and they're the best choice for the country .

4 seats , AWD , half decent ute tray , you can put a flat try on if you want ,
some say they're a bit cramped in the back , I say i have a heap-o room behind the seats .

and with the 16 inch rim you can put on a more aggressive tyre

dude you'll be drinking rum in no time .

LMAO part of the "Plan" is to have an AWD Dyno at the new place so sorry it'll just be to say hi

I'm looking at a one tonner version not the Crewman as it'll be my DD and I have 12 acres so AWD+Tray will be useful, original plan was to buy a VE Ute but I wrote off my Project/Toy last month so have to replace that as well so have had to rethink the budget somewhat!

Thanks for the post, haven't heard anything bad other than being a bit heavy on fuel, plan to either buy one on LPG or have it fitted so that shouldn't be a problem.

You'll love LPG. I drive a LOT of K's and my run from Bairnsdale to Ballarat is usually 1 tank, or $30 for 400K.

Around town I use about $7.50 of gas a week.

    Any power difference?

    Re: Cross-6?

According to the installers, with SVI I shouldn't lose any power, and get near the same economy. I can confirm that this is completely crap!

There is a loss in power, and you get about 350-450(that was BEST) K per 54 litres. The 'quality' of the LPG seems to make a difference too.

I do get annoyed at the rate I have to refill with gas though, and usually end up using fuel to complete the trip.

But, I have to admit, the saving on the hip pocket makes up for all of the failings.

    Re: Cross-6?

    Bought a local Cross6

Pick it up at the end of the Month once I'm in the new place.

Does anyone know how the CrossTrac system does the Torque split Front/Rear?
