no one by a new belt??
GUYS
where do you get your belts for the magies 2300 blowers ??
not the heartbeat the one before that . for the 2300 there doesn't seem to be a # listed in australia by GATES for the 8PK HD green stripe belt CAPA have them at $150 a belt . ???????????? daylight R$##$bery
you can by a DAYCO one for a harrop for $27 trade that is what i use , (no problems at all ) the maggie ones are a lot longer about 10' and once you get up in to that length they go in big jumps in sizes so you cant get a DAYCO to come close either
what happens is on my friend's car when he gives it a big rev then changes gear it flicks the tensioner and sometimes the belt jump over one rib on the tensioner pulley then it gets cut off by the edge of the pulley ,
so you end up with 7pk, the tensioner is a big arse heavy duty spring loaded one , and is not weak

no one by a new belt??
Have you had a look at the Goodyear Gatorback Belts?
Running one here, they come in a lot of different lengths so you might be lucky, they're quiet as well.
no i havent been able to find a dealer up here who sells them down your way ?
I've ordered/bought from US before but have not had a problem getting them in thru Repco. You probably have to convert the american/inches part number in to an Australian/mm part number.
well the belt he has now is a US belt as it is in emperial length (1020 ) its about 30cm longer than my 2200 dayco
So a 2500 or a 2230? (just need to make sure it's cm and not mm) how many ribs?
Long one about $35 shipped shorter one about $60 shipped, both 6PK (6 rib)

its an 8pk
About $40 for the long one and $80 for the shorter, so was it plus 30mm or +300mm to yours?
i would have to mesure it exatly but about plus 300mm
ifi t's stripping a rib, then it's clearly not aligned or a pulley is not on all the way.
I'd start by checking the crank and going from there.
It's happened before, It will all happen again.
its all good dave it just jumped over one groove on the tensioner pulley ONLY after a big rev he dident spot it till it cut through the belt
How tight is the tensioner when it's doing this?
I had that problem till I replaced the tensioner with an aftermarket one. No issues since and no belt slip on a 6PK with 9PSI pulley
