Stand on the brakes HARD a few times and it will go away.

Nope but got a f**king annoying dull clunk from somewhere in the rear end since having the lowered springs installed. The workshop has been over all of the rear suspension etc that they have touched - and what they didnt touch - twice now without success. The thing is that the car was silent with the std springs so all i can think is that the additional ride firmness is causing the issue.

Not interested in swapping back to std springs but want to find out what the damn noise is. Mainly occurs at lower speeds when going over some rough road or speed humps etc.

    Anyone else got this issue?

Also agree, but there were circumstances (and what I hope was a VERY clean tank this low in vehicle life (was 600k)), and I would never complain if I was that stupid.

But yes, I do think it unacceptable that the fuel warning takes over from the k’s-to-go when I make the decision.

I just checked the manual, and the behaviour is as stated. Sorry, but stupid!!!

The car was very clean, very sunny (Mleb after all:-) and in the city driving slowly. I think the co-incidence of it happening exactly as I turned on the air-cond....

    With the spring clunks:
Coil clash. If you remember, the old VE std springs had thick plastic wrap on some of the coils. This was to prevent the noise when the coils hit over bumps. Big bumps dont cause the noise. Its when going over light small bumps that the coils hit and make the thump. Big bumps just compress the spring together. (Sounds strange, but when going over big bumps the spring compresses and even though there is contact, the noise is subdued due to the coils staying in contact. Small bumps, the coils bang together. The noise reverberates when the coils are apart which is why its louder than going over big bumps)

    Which springs are you using?

I've got one complaint with my Calais, the cars colour Regal Peacock should be renamed to anti-clean....

Otherwise, my HVAC isn't perfect, but acceptable, I notice occasionally the cold air drops out for a few seconds.

    Re: VF Commodore/HSV Owner's Problems & Complaints

    Hey all,

I recently had an issue with my park assist, it all failed, the actual parking sensors and also the automated parking features would not work at all. it kept showing a spanner on the screen telling me to service park assist. Holden had to keep the car for 2 days and replace a module, but was all warranty work.

The only other complaint i had was i couldnt get the ESP to turn off? but figured that one out now so no complaints.

    +1

Yep! Was about to say the same, though don't know if the VF springs are the same. Some people even found that cutting an inch or two off the spring wrap also solved the problem because at the original length it was catching/binding. The other issue was sometimes the springs weren't seated correctly, though a suspension place shouldn't make that error.

Yes its really cheap sounding. I was surprised this got past Holdens testing, as its not a good sound at all.
