and??????![]()
So the rumour mill is running at 300% this morning and is hotter than lava with reports in that the VF GTS Police Car that was put into service in NSW is now in a non serviceable state.
With no other claims from LSA owners with issues this will have to be the most public and FIRST one, also MODIFIED mind you by a very well known entity, that has had a melt down.
A very expensive lesson to be had by the one/s who touched it.......

I often wondered how this would go considering police cars can sit around for ages idling with the AC on - considering such and effort was paid to cooling, which is no good if the car ain't moving.
Any links?
Did the car just cook itself from sitting too long?
Too many stand stills?
VE Calais V tuned by APS
Which Walkinshaw dealer was tasked with the upgrades?
be interesting to see what excuses come out of it...
It's happened before, It will all happen again.
It should be covered by warranty![]()
so what is the full story ???
It would be unfair to speak until the ones responsible have time to diagnose and find excuses......
Cliff notes so far;
- "The $100,000 HSV GTS has about $20,000 worth of performance upgrades, lifting power from the standard 430kW output to close to 500kW, which is more than a V8 Supercar."
- The HSV GTS won't be used for regular highway patrol duties, instead it will join the arch rival Ford at regional shows and enthusiast events across the state to drive home the road safety message.
- Work done by a Walkinshaw Performance shop in NSW.
- Report that engine, gearbox, supercharger are rooted.

I can only guess.
