(EDIT: This is so the servo's don't sell us hot or warm fuel which has expanded and takes up more volume)
Pretty much spot on. 100kg is 100kg, the volume (Litres) to make that 100kg may vary depending on the Specific Gravity of the fuel being used at the time.

Oh well, a couple seem to be having trouble with the subject, but the reality is that ONE team found an "issue" (and chose to ignore the umpires decision) out of ELEVEN teams. The rest just got on with the job and raced. And aren't airing any dirty laundry in public in the face of their sponsors. No doubt the PR people will tell their sponsors that they've been "hard done by", and "truth will prevail". Sounds like a few of the posts in this thread...
You don't need to be "at the pointy end of motorsport" to see the obvious of what's going on here...

Make no mistake, Red bull will ALWAYS pursue something to benefit THEMSELVES, not the greater good of the sport!

Why beat up on Red bull? Any of those teams are cast of the same mold they want any little advantage. Red bull or otherwise. That is not event restricted to F1. However how is there any benefit gained by Red bull by telling the governing body that you are going to cheat? Yep one might argue one point or another however it would be easier to just use the damn sensor. Unless faulty readings could cause an untimely engine failure?

Why beat up on me for pointing out Red Bull's failings to follow the RULES?
Since Red Bull are the ones that clearly and blatantly are trying to use laywers to circumvent the rules, they deserve everything they get.
If it was another team then they would deserve it. But no one else seemed to feel the need to pursue this action...
Nose out of joint over your favourite team having their dirty laundry aired? Appears so...

I fail to see how I was beating up on you Planetdavo. I was merely adding to the discussion saying that any one of those teams would take advantage of a situation if they felt it in their favor. Thought that was obvious. It appears I was incorrect. Ya get that. Maybe Red Bull did not believe there would be an issue as it was after the race (as far as I know) that the FIA took exception to someone not wanting to use their inaccurate sensor. Every team runs their own strategy so others decided to use the other sensor. So be it. But did it cost them the race, cause a failure? Also I am not really a big follower of F1 so no my nose is not out of joint over my "favorite" team having their dirty laundry aired as I have no allegiances to one or another. The only nose that appears to be out of joint here is yours. Oddly enough it appears common occurrence when people don't agree with you?

Re: How crap do the new F1 cars sound

I've heard a few technology addicts state that "noise is wasted energy", and that this technology is "very now, and relevant".
Well, emotion is also wasted energy, so why not replace the whole human race with reliable, non-emotional robots- who would do a much better job at being boring and efficient than the human race?
Motor racing IS an emotional entertainment choice to many- like many sports are. The saddest thing out of this is now, rather than the wall of noise approaching from far away then shaking your internals as it flies past, most of the noise we will likely hear now will be coming from even more smartphone addiction at the track above the rather polite new F1 exhaust sounds...

Allow them to produce around 1500hp in qualifying trim and then they will make some noise as well as blow up every few hours. Much for fun then.
