They are mate, they are. Most people don't know about 'em,..Audi ain't big on advertising, but take the time to really have a good look at one, check out the quality of the interior, comfort etc,...and then of course,.....have a drive.
Some may know about the "A" series of Audi, which from a distance looks a bit similar, but the "S" is a completely different animal.
Cheers, Pickles.
Pickles,
Audi tend to not go over the top in styling and sometimes a badge is really all that can tell them apart to the non enthusiast, Mate of mine who is long time Ford fan and has Gt Cobra in the shed has now moved into the Audi camp and has a SQ5 and a TT RS. The TT RS looks very similar to a standard TT which I always though suited a Hairdresser ect, BUT that RS badge means ALOT......It is the 5 Cylinder turbo and with tune only is Flat 4 Sec high 3 Sec Car.
SV805,...yes,agree, they are definitely a bit under the radar.
I've heard it said that there will eventually be an RS3,..possibly with the 5 pot engine,...I look forward to that!
Cheers, Pickles.
Where are the photos !![]()
Pickles,
Audi TT Concept at Geneva has the VW family 2 litre Turbo with a little work spitting out 309Kw out of the 2 litre. This may show up down the line in Audi and VW cars.
Spot on, I totally agree. The AWD drive is a big consideration over the RWD and the BMW has no room in the rear for anyone other than a small child.
The Sportback and Sedan both look hot. I'd probably go the hatch as well just for the little extra convenience of the 5th door.
.
lads my S3 Sedan with sportpack 2 is due for build in week 24.. quite a wait
Well Pickles...... Now you have owned it a few weeks what do you think of it?
Does "wifey" ever let you drive it?.
Any pictures to show?...![]()

No worries at all driving it!
But seriously, the S3 is a VERY good small car. Obviously not the same sort of car as the C63, and it doesn't try to be. It's a very easy, "light" car to drive, very responsive, & 206KW & 380Nm gives it plenty of poke.
karen absolutely loves it, & it's really perfect for her. I'd recmmend an S3 to anyone who's looking for a hatch of this size, with a bit of go.
Having said that, we've just got back from doing a 2000K trip to Broken Hill in our LandRover Defender!
Cheers, Pickles.
