Also, would 98 octane fuel be ok with the 11:1 comp?
I don't see why not. Pretty sure LS2's are around 10.9:1 anyway, loads of those getting around running decent boost.
You'll make more power on less boost and it will behave better off boost.

    Hi All

The LSA motor is def a good option, I am currently putting one in my HX Holden, just doing the last few finishing touches before shes ready to hit the road again and at the price you can buy them for its a pretty good deal, But it def doesnt stop there, it does get quite costly and I have done all the work myself. There probably isnt as much work required to get one in to a VY but from someone that has done the conversion that $20k price tag isnt really up there.

    Cheers

Its an awesome motor the LSA as package overall the only thing I dont like is its pretty ugly and trying to dress it up in the older car to look ok is hard. Nothing like a a nice clean big block chev in those holder ones i reckon mind you the LSA feels like a big block chev when you drive it.

Would be a killer combo on a ve but I'd be nervous with a stock bottom end
HeartBeat is available with the LS1/2 offset - it is available with all offsets including the J-body (truck) & LSA.
Turbos are OK, but I prefer to be Oversize, Stroked & Blown!

Hi Ken, are you saying with the right additional bits, the Heartbeat blower will fit directly onto the standard LS1 engine?
