Best way is to check the Engine no. prefix that will denote what year model.
hey guys going to inspect a vz 5.7 on the weekend. it doesnt have a throttle body so cant pick the differences there.
so yeah basically just want to make sure its the vz motor.
so what do i look for?
Best way is to check the Engine no. prefix that will denote what year model.
any idea what that would be? tried asearch but no luck
Taken from this thread http://www.ls1.com.au/forum/showthre...-Engine-numberThe engine number can tell you the year/day the engine number was built in Mexico.
An '05 LS1 (from a service manual example) VF051904500 "05" = year, "190" = day. "4500" = sequential number.
IIRC, VY1 had cable throttle, VY2 FBW throttle.
VY2 was still cable throttle.
Depends what its from i have a vy2 Adventra it have fbw throttle body ☺
I have a VY2 that's cable, mines a CX8..
Wouldn't the wiring harness be different ??? ie some extra cabling for the throttle actuator/motor.
Must of changed oct or nov I have a vyII CX8 Nov 04 Build it has FBW
