what i what to know is will i need to modify anything to make the short extractors fit my factory system.
Cool.
My understanding is that all LS blocks have the same exhaust manifold bolt pattern so you should be sweet as dude. Torque for those bolts is 15 ft/lbs from memory.
I have a genuine set from a VE clubsport (LS3) in my shed which is in the for sale section right now, they're cheap![]()
I have to ask why? A lot of effort for no gain. You want series 2 pipes if you're going to put anything on.
the reason i ask is i can get set at a good price
IMHO Even if they were free it would be a waste of time fitting them.
Have a read of the old favorite thread I kinked below, check out post number 5 ......
It reads..
"Heres a cut and paste of the results Sam found.
The first two numbers are untuned Hp then FtLbs respectively
The numbers are tuned Hp and FtLbs.

Now, for sure there could be some better stuff on the market than some of the other brands listed but
you can read exactly how the old early genuine HSV headers compare to the stock manifolds from Holden back in the day
& there are plenty of other comments worth reading in that thread also.![]()

If you get the S2 long 4-1's cheaply they're certainly worth putting on. Have a nice note with a bit more power/torque everywhere.
i just got some cheap vy 2 longs, will they bolt straight up to the cat?
The exhaust shop had to open the inlet on my cats when we did this.
DK
It takes 10,000 nuts to put a car together but only one to scatter ‘em all over the road
fitted them today lil bit of welding involved but totally changed the car,do love it's new note
