    Hi

To: jkgmh, I told you to stop viewing my CCTV system!

Does it actually say that the car is going to be released or is it just a rumour as such?

    Regards,

As this is the final Commodore it would have been nice if the car actually wore the Commodore badge as its predecessors (except VE)

From reading the bits on the side, seems the HSV guys agree with you. This is just an artist's impression.
Wonder how many deposits they have for these.

    Hi

I know in Victoria that two dealerships have three deposits each and another dealership has two deposits. Garry & Warren Smith in Oakleigh would only take deposits if you had purchased at least three new Hsv's from them. Another dealer said they wont take more than three deposits in total and weren't accepting anymore.

These were an awesome car back then and are still an awesome car now.
I remember when I was about 12 my old man had a vc wagon with a starfire 4 in it. To me it looked like a 202/3.3 blue motor with two cylinders missing.
30 years later and I have never seen another one.

Re: VF Series II IS HERE

My dad had a maroon one of these with the maroon velour interior when I was a young bloke. Except in the UK we called them a Vauxhaul Carlton. 2 litre 4 cylinder. I *think* the Opel versions (rekord and commodore) has sixes. After the horrible plastic seats of the Austin mini and Marina we had in the past, the Carlton's velour always felt a bit special.

If I recall correctly we layer had an estate (wagon) version in metallic brown but I don't remember much of it so we mustn't have had it long.
I remember lusting over the late 80s Vauxhaul Senator when it arrived (we never had one sadly).

Holden are really keeping their V8 Plans plans (if any) hidden for after 2017. I see overnight there was the official announcement that V8 Market is Dead in Australia blah blah with no real mention of what they are doing to counter the Mustang....

I want that business manager working for me.

I am always looking at new ways to cap sales and turn willing customers away!

    Yes fair enough too.
I expect they will only get supplied a very limited stock of these so they want to look after & reward their existing loyal customers.

I would also expect some of the dealer principles would want to just keep the cars anyway.

The way the Maloo GTS got divied up will be a guide, probably. I like the idea of the GTSR going to those who have bought 3 or more HSVs prrior. Good way to reward loyalty and not just speculators.

    Cheers, Matthew
