Does that hole in the top of the pipe go straight through, or does the outer skin of the tip cover it?

Likened to that of two tins & a piece of string

Finding it kind of annoying with windows up until 3k-ish when the exhaust note comes on. might pull it off and make up a blanking plate in another 500kms

I'm going to try to pull out the R10 relay in the boot to see if that leaves the bi-modal open all the time. That way you won't be annoyed up until 3k-ish. I'll let you know how I go.

I didn't experience this in the test car I had. I took off like I normally do and got the V8 sound through the pipes at just over 2k

Sorry, meant the intake noise, kind of like an audible beat at/up to certain rpm if its quiet. I do love a good intake sound however (like on my old m3). As for the bimodal its permanently open through the mylink, doesnt seem to revert closed unless selected. Crackle sounds are pretty damn loud changing cogs, scared a dog the other day shifting into 2nd hahaha

Also for those in the know, what is with the counterweights on the front Brembo caliper ( i assume they are attached to the pad for vibration/uniform wear etc)? I would like to take it down to Wakefield next year at some point, but throw on some 18s as my Rcomp choice is limited to 888s (i prefer NT01s), and i'd rather keep a spare set of track tyres; just eyeballing it looks possible if those counterweights weren't there, and i haven't seen any definitive yes/no on 18 fitment yet. Cheers

Oh, I didn't know they were permanently open. Thanks for the heads up before I start tinkering with things.

I love hearing the rumble from my garage when I remote start it (auto) to warm it up in the morning. Great way start the day
