    Re: Project LE

I thought these had the torque converter lockup function as oem, overcome with a different converter though!
Has basic switching/sensing connections as follows:
The purple wire (terminal A) is the +12 volt supply to the system. The blue, or in some applications dark green, wire (terminal B) is connected to the fourth gear (overdrive) switch in the valve body. This normally closed switch opens whenever the transmission shifts into fourth gear; this informs the ECM that the transmission is operating in the overdrive mode. The tan wire with a black tracer stripe (terminal D) is the ground wire for the TCC solenoid. In the original factory installation this wire is connected to the ECM and when all preprogrammed requirements for TCC operation are met, the ECM grounds this connection to complete the circuit and activate the TCC solenoid in the transmissions valve body which then hydraulically actuates the clutch in the torque converter. terminal C remains unused in this four connector plug. For our rewiring purposes only the purple wire (terminal A) will be used to provide a +12 volt supply to the TCC solenoid.

Thanks for that Mick, I haven't actually gotten into details yet but that answers some questions, was there a diagram with that description?

This circuit below might come in handy.

I gave away a full set of oem VS manuals that had all the T700 & wiring diags. etc a few ago now.

That's usually when the Silliness begins

LOL seems that way at times, build threads help me keep it straight in my head and now and again someone jumps in with some very useful information/help!

Been lucky with my Mates being agreeable about posting these threads, I could understand if someone were reluctant about it.

    Today End!

Well the TH400 hasn't seen the light of day for a few years....

Can is an interesting mix of Metric/Imperial so far and of course I've ran headfirst into my Pet Hate... Exhaust Shops...

Nah it doesn't need a flange or a slipjoint anywhere in the entire system we'll WELD every joint... Got out the Sawzall and didn't feel too bad as the tailpipes were rusted through already..

Did he have a leaking valley or rocker cover as there's a huge amount of oil that's been spewing on that box?

I don't think there's too many places it isn't leaking Mick, all part of why it needs some TLC

you need to look at that as a self basting anti rust protection

When a 308/5L stops leaking, then you have a problem!
