Realistically, how often do you think you'll adjust them? From my experience, if it's a daily, you'll tinker with them till you get the height where you want it and leave it there. It gets somewhat tiresome pulling all the wheels off to change the height for the weekend or whatever and you should also be getting a wheel alignment every time you change the height.
The right height can easily be achieved with the right spring and you will get a better ride with good quality shocks as well as likely come out with change in your pocket compared to a cheap coilover set...that can then go towards sway bars
If you're set on coilovers, go with a good set like kw or the like. Personally I've got nothing nice to say about the Pedders ones and can only imagine XYZ and all the other cheap sets are the same.

I currently have KW V3 Coilovers with fully adjustable compression and rebound on my other car and they are miles ahead of just a spring and shock setup and although I’m not after that degree of performance I am after looks over ride comfort.
You are right in two respects, after the initial setup they are not something that I adjust and nor do I want to pay top dollar for a set for this Ute.
My last two Commodores have ridden on SSSL Kings both front and rear and that is approximately the ride height I’m again after for this new car.
The difference this time is the vehicle will most likely be a keeper and as such will be subject to the occasional change in rim and tyre combos and as such it will be just a matter of adjusting the ride height to suit the changes as opposed to replacing springs if the look doesn’t quite match up.
Also the ride height in the front of the last Ute with SSSL was about a quarter of an inch too high and with coilovers I will be able to make the change to correct that.
So what I’m really looking for is future proofing, in other words I just want to spend my money once.
I’m not after the cheapest Coilovers as I want a product that will last.
But I’m also not after the most expensive and apart from ride height other adjustment properties are unimportant as the car will only be my daily driver and will most likely travel less than 2000km a year.
I’m after something that falls between the KW, Harrop products and the cheaper brands and as there are many on the market I was hoping other members could offer advice on a medium price set that will do the job.
Yep, I had H&R coilovers in the ute and I loved them. However, I'm not really qualified to judge performance given my disabilities mean I don't push it as hard as other people do. They don't have bump or rebound adjustment which was perfect for me as otherwise I suspect I'd have spent half my life my time trying to find the "perfect" combination.
H&R coilovers have much bigger diameter springs than most so are quite comfortable.
I had a number of people who'd had or been in other cars with coilovers who all expressed surprise that it had coilovers because the ride was so compliant.
Height adjustment was also pretty simple.

I know of the H&R brand as they are popular with the Euro crowd overseas and I also remember you having them fitted to your Ute.
I値l look into them and if the price isn稚 outlandish I値l most likely go with them.
Another set of coilovers that are getting a good rep are Shockworks, from GM Motorsport.
