    Crewman rear shocks

Been getting some noises in the Crewie of late & was suspecting rear suspension, one noise that could only be compared to a pinging noise! I checked with Sonny & said it was definitely not engine detonation. The more I thought it was either possible axle float causing the abs rings to touch the backing plates or shocks.
Anyway noted my mate IJ had a set of Koni Reds for sale so took them off his hands & installed them this morning. About an hours round job doing with trolley jack & a few stands. Hardest part was undoing the single lower attaching bolt into the leaf carrier. Found the culprit in the old shockers were at some stage they had been loose & shagged out the stepped section that insulates to the body...hence that pinging type noise.
As IJ mentioned just fitted em up with the soft setting & they're just beaut! Thanks mate

Good to hear Mick, benefit to the Koni's is as they wear you can dial in a bit more damping to bring them back to the unworn setting, once they're too tired you just have them rebuilt and start again, out of the box they're damn close to spot on, in mine I cranked a 1/4 turn into them from day 1 to suit the rear airbags.

Have you upgraded the front yet Mick, or is that coming up in the future.

    Good choice enjoy...

I have Koni sport short yellows in the front, and custom oversize body short reds in the rear.

Have the fronts set at 3/4 to full hard rebound and rears at the softest rebound setting as my rears are really strong.

Transformed the car, its my daily, worth every cent.

The fronts have been done twice in the last few years, I bought it with coilovers though the height was good the ride was terrible so turfed them for a convention monroe gas & SSL King springs. Also bought some nolathane top mounts from IJ & when time permits, will pull them & install.
