The mdi only does the newer cars doesn't it? It doesn't supersede the tech 2 altogether?

Yes it does. It also has a win app that performs all the functions that the tech2 does. It emulates a tech2.

Thanks but no need for any teaching.. we already know how to use Tech 2 , a MDI and GDS2/TIS2WEB... they only let you go so far (as far as GM want you)... its developing tools outside of this which is where its at now (well has been for the last 5 years)...


But congrats to the OP... big job taking on a task like this to begin with

Chad apologize for hi jacking your thread, though Jez have you been able to unlock any other features in the VF series 2 & HUD? Reason I ask just bought one last month
& know well they are feature pack outta the box though is it possible to change the MyLink Home screens etc?

Do mean like I enabled on this VF S1 cluster (can do it on a non color VF one too just doesnt look as flash lol):

White Base Coat to even out the colour... Therre are two black doors and a black bonnet to cover compared to the rest which is Prussian Steel

Cobalt... just for your information the tire pressure sensor module is under the parcel shelf....

I'd imagine with that colour finding your car will not be a problem. I reckon it will be a sweet looking wrapper for all your hard behind the scenes work.
