Rod I'd be very very surprised if that was changed even a few thousand K's ago let alone 400Ks!
Short story long, we recently bought a 2012 Mazda 3 SP25 for the wife from a local dealer. Car has only done 15k and she is super happy with it. I do however have an issue with some of the treatment by the yard after the sale had gone through. My latest one though, and one I am super pissed about is that they have told me that the car was log book serviced 400km ago and not due again for 6 months. First thing I did was pull the air filter, that was filthy, so I changed it out and got on with life. Then a little voice in my head said, check the oil. This is what I found. Does this oil look like it has done 400km? It actually looks like a bottle of coke. My Calais has 3k old Penrite in it and that is still golden coloured.Attachment 4656

I can't understand how oil could get that black in even 15,000kms let alone 400kms
My girlfriend has a little Mazda 3 SP23 which has now done 130,000kms & I have never seen the oil as dark as that
when I have changed it & it has 15,000km service intervals.
(It's her second Mazda 3, it's a fantastic reliable little car by the way, she loves it & her next car will be another.)![]()
Was the service supposed to have been done before or after the previous owner sold or traded in the car?
Was the service book stamped to say the service was done?
If so, I would be taking it up with whoever stamped the service book.
BTW. Even if it was done by the service department at the dealer you bought it from
the sales team would not know if the service was done correctly.
In all car dealerships the service department is 100% independent of the sales departments
& the used car sales department would have just paid the service department on invoice.

Log book stamped by dealer with their stamp. I wouldn't have given a shit if they did not service it, just don't fukn lie to me about it, and probably countless others as they take
the money. This dealership have done nothing but bullshit me since we bought the car. They have a fairly high profile ex SANFL/AFL footballer as the face of the business as well.
When I rang and questioned whether the oil was actually changed, they were 100 percent supportive of the service department, telling me how wonderful they are. Might change
their tune when I take that oil in.
Did you buy it from the Toyota dealership or the large used yard on MN Rd at Medindie?
(My bet would be that you got it from the used yard at Medindie)
Makes sense, that place isn't actually a franchised dealership
it's just a used car outlet for the AP Eagers group of companies.
AP Eagers are the second largest group owning car, truck, bus dealerships & vehicle auctions in Australia.
Check out their website.

The place at Medindie you bought it from don't actually run a franchised dealer workshop they are independent.
Studley actually has nothing to do with the running of the place.

Dealerships lie. It's the business they're in. They're all a bunch of cvnts

It would not surprise me if the speedo has been wound back. So many are electronically changed these days by ahole dealers.
