Same FOOOOOOL!!!!!!................ as Gumtree Add above...

For only $5K more... you could Driveaway in a, Brand Spanking New, Nissan GTR....

I'd take the GTR in a Heart Beat...... if I was going to be dropping $200K... on a car...

    VIN: 6G1EX55E79L230662
    Colour: Phantom Black
    Location: WA
    Rego: LS7W427

Wonder what the GTSR W1 launch will do to W427 prices?

Re: W427s. Keeping track of them

Not that there are many for sale
but the few that are "on average", they are asking for $140 000
which is positive when 24-12 months ago just under $100 000

There's a big difference between asking $140K... and actually making the phone ring with buyers......

    $92900...

See what values "Redbook" is showing for them.

    http://www.redbook.com.au/cars/resea...POT-ITM-235886

IMHO they are a little bit more realistic than what some dreamers are asking.

I see that they reckon that is for ones travelled 140,000 to 230,000kms as well.

IMO there would not be a single one out there with 230,000kms and the average kms I would suggest would be more like 10,000 to 30,000kms.

    *Private Price Guide $60,800 - $67,200
    *Trade In Price Guide $52,000 - $58,400
    *Average Km 140,000 - 230,000

Yeah I doubt there would be many with 230,000kms,
there is actually one advertised with only seven hundred kms on it.

Here's one with nearly 200000kms on it, 22 Nov 2016...

    Link

    Picture from link above...

Redbook is a good guide on the real average kms from normal driving to market value... obviously there are one's that are outside the redbook average range.

    9 year old car (2008) 140K kms / 9 = 15555kms per year...

    9 year old car (2008) 230K kms / 9 = 25555kms per year...

Totally reasonable kms to me for average driving...

I've seen other's with 100000 + Kms for sale, there not all kept in moth balls...

Just because a car is 9 years old and has very low kms, doesn't automatically make it worth crazy coin, as all the dreamer owners think...

Its only worth, what someone is willing to pay for it...

Time will tell but the W427 is one of two vehicles in the world fitted with the 7Lt engine, they only made 137 of them and with low volume limited production examples in the past VL Walkinshaw being 750, 302 x VN Groupa, 85 x VS GTSR & 137 x W427 they are all very collectable and examples with low km and in good condition will always be worth good money and the older they get the more they will be worth.

Myself I have worked in the motor industry for 31 years and I can 100% guarantee that Redbook do not sell cars and they do not buy them either, I would love to buy 10 x W427 for what they think they are worth but you can't and I am 100% sure W427 will never again be worth less than what they are now. They will only ever go north from where we are now.

Just look up at post # 158, W427 was listed at $92900... on the 23 March 2017...

    https://www.carsales.com.au/private/details/Holden-Special-Vehicles-W427-2008/SSE-AD-4230005/?Cr=0

Same car the next day is now listed at $89900...

Dropped $3K in less than 1 day....

You Were Saying......... "They will only ever go north from where we are now"... Complete Rubbish....

They'll still fall in value for quite some time...

Obviously!!!.... Redbook Don't, Buy & Sell Cars.... There gather sales data... and provide historical and future price guides...

Redbook has been around for more than 60 years, they wouldn't still be in business, if they didn't provide good information...

Remember it's an "Average Guide" only...

For around $100K, you can buy a R/H drive C6 Z06 Corvette fully registered in Australia, same LS7 engine, but over 400kg!!!.... lighter than a W427...

I know which, I'd much rather have...

You can still buy brand new LS7 crate motors, in the US for only $13600... If you really wanted one...
