The ASV conversion should be a lot better than the current crop getting around if their Rams are anything to go by. Completely re-engineered

It was this shape Mustang below, that Ford Aus converted to R/H drive...

I can't stand the sight of them personally, no wonder they sold so few of them, plus being so over priced at the time...

I think your referring to liking, the next gen shape below...

Looks a million times better IMO...

Still nothing from Holden for the SS buyer. 100k budget is not for the majority that's for sure.

I reckon you have hit the nail on the head. For years we have been spoiled by an affordable performance rear drive V8. If Holden think the rebadged Insignia VXR V6 will fill that slot then I think they are going to be very much mistaken.

I'm sure they don't think that but in the global scheme of things, the RHD, 4 door V8 market is probably pretty small so they're not too concerned in supplying anything to meet the little demand.
Holden can only offer what they are supplied with and currently there are no options

Solution, if you have an affordable rear drive V8 in the shed, keep it, if you don't get out now and grab one

I did exactly that, bought a 2010 GXP Maloo, I'll be keeping it for a good while I'd say.

As everyone has said at 90k it's going to be flop unless they plan on making it a low volume seller.

This is Chryslers perfect opportunity to start selling Chargers down here. Hell if I ever get back into the market for a v8 I'll definitely be checking out the 300's as well. They'll be making a killing once the Australian Commodore is gone.

100% there will be a huge hole in the market for peeps like us wanting a V8! Problem I have @ the moment have sold the Cal V wags & looking to replace it, what to buy?

I looked into buying a 300C a few years ago but the towing capacity
could not get anywhere near a Commodore or Ford.

Such a shame to see a large car with some power with such a low towing capacity.

Oh yeah, just looked it up. SRT doesn't even have towing specs and the v6 will do a little over 1.7t. Not flash at all. I wonder what the limiting factors are? My V6 Grand Cherokee will tow 2.5tonne with the same v6.
