yeah, they have been beating that one off around here as well.

I reckon they would be better off commissioning kids from the local kindy to run their advertising department?

Just read Holden sales fell almost 40% for July, worst results since 1948. Not surprising given the range they're serving up to the market. Nothing is a standout performer and the bulk of the fleet is beaten by other manufacturers.

I'd love to see how a ZB would go after throwing it up some old track out back of Bourke. Does it come with the Country Pack option like all the previous Commo models?

yeah...but you have to buy a complete car !

I present the ZB Calais Tourer

and unlike the rest of the range, it has an actual spare wheel
    (a skinny steel one )

There was a red wagon at Holden yesterday that had been heavily lowered and was wearing some grey 20's, actually looked pretty good. Sorry no pics of that one.

Might be splitting hairs but I believe it was combined ZB and VFII's that were 11 cars more than Mustang. I think VFII's were 41 - so actually 30 ZB's fewer than Mustang. Total Commodores was 557, Mustang was 546. I always thought they were going to sell far less ZB's than VF's when they have no V8, no manuals and no Utes, and no export possibilities and also of course RWD was a point of difference. Holden could easily quantify how many V8's, Utes and manuals they sold and know they are basically writing off those sales, maybe some ute buyers might go for a Colarado. The number of sales lost as no RWD might be harder to quantify, but they would have known they were going to take a big hit in sales.

I am pretty sure that Macca was being sarcastic comparing Commodore to Mustang. One is a family car, the other a lifestyle car. Try putting 5 people and luggage in a Mustang and doing a road trip without a trailer.

Actually as you mention towing, I don't see it on Holden website, but on Carsales when you look at specs the ZB RSV has 2100Kg tow capacity but what you don't see on Holden website is 90 Kg tow ball capacity (as opposed to VF's with 2100 Kg tow capacity, the towball load is the generally accepted 10%, so 210Kg ball load). To me 90 Kg towball when general expectation is 10% ratio translates to a 900Kg trailer. Low towball capacity is common with Euros, something to be aware of if you want to tow with a ZB.

    .. sounds pretty right
my VF has a 2100kg tow capacity but the manual mentions a 190kg tow ball limit

dunno how Holden can say ZB max towing is 2100 but with a ball weight of only 90kg
