Sourcing Replacement Gas Strtuts for my Aftermarket Hard lid

My hard lid gas struts are no longer reliable and I have scars to prove it.

I have the aftermarket smooth hard lid.

The struts are STABILUS LIFT-O-MAT brand

    Part # 860344 0350N 191/08

Does the part # include the specs of the strut?

Where / how should I replace

    TIA

Stu, there are places who recondition yours - apparently quite cheap. Places like Supercheap also stock some.

Yep, as I suggested earlier, I think your best bet given how hard it seems to find identical new ones is just a mob that reconditions them. Even better, some are mobile.

Google mobile gas strut repairs "Melbourne" (Melbourne in quotes to eliminate any which don't include Melbourne i.e. cut out those only in Sydney etc.)

Where i work we tend to deal with UES for that sort of thing (i am in the Sheet metal/electrical switchboard industry), you may be able to find one that would suit in the link below.

Re: Sourcing Replacement Gas Strtuts for my Aftermarket Hard lid

    The struts were $26 each
Not sure why you might quote a single price
Freight costs ended being Aus post (thief's)
Supposed to be 3 days but unlikely in these times
