Well spotted, yes at Sandown, the Corvette is owned by an Australian.

Brock drove the Corvette at Goodwood around 2005 in the UK.

Hunted down another pic of the same car from another year, with a different number on the door 11 vs 10.





Found this also, John Bowe driving the same Corvette at the Longford mile...

Yes, I'm well aware of that!!....Hopefully we can catch up there one day. Be careful of that car, if it isn't already, it soon will be, a "Collector's Item"!

Hey Smitty, I agree that they are not the prettiest cars but as you said, that seems to be the trend of design these days.

I honestly personally think they designed the nicest looking cars a few decades ago

but the engine, brake, suspension, performance & handling etc on these cars makes them amazing & cool.



Over in the USA these days there are business actually converting many newer Corvettes into the older classic Corvette body shapes

& in the UK they are doing things like remaking early Astons & Jaguar E Types etc.



There are even a few later Corvettes over here that have had their chassis modified & C3 bodies fitted,
I was in a workshop last Tuesday & they had 2 in there that they were doing,
one of them was with like a 1972 convertible body with subtly widened pumped out guards.
It looks absolutely fantastic apart from the fact that they had to make it right hand drive for Australian registration regulations.


I personally think a Corvette looks better in left hand drive.
