    Advice with dealer servicing.

    Hi guys,

After a bit of advice on how to escalate issues. Basically, I'm getting sick of the "can't replicate fault" comment even though I've supplied detailed description AND video evidence of the fault. But, because it doesn't happen when they check it, its fine nothing to worry about. If I flag it, and say when it runs out of warranty it does it again, can I say "but you knew about this....etc"

I'm not a rant and rave person, but do I need to be? Do I go direct to who ever is running Holden directly.

    Cheers.

When I had that problem in the past I escalated the issue directly to HQ in Melbourne, after a short period of time they informed my dealer & what course they needed to follow. Problem is all the dealerships are merely franchises & unless it's routine work they are stumped. Hope it all goes well for you.

Could be a tricky proposition with Holden as it is in 2021. I'd be inclined to go straight to Office of Fair Trading and make a complaint.

Whilst OFT are probably a bit of a toothless tiger, it sends a clear message to the dealership that you're serious and you're not just going to let it drop.

Hmmm, well, my cars are back and one barely had 28psi in the tyres (knew something was up as soon as I drove out the driveway). I think someone has read the wrong tyre placard - if the techs can't get something that simple right then I'm doubtful on my other concerns *sigh* ...

.. had the same issue with the last service on the missus BMW at the local (un-named) dealer
    owner manual/placard says 280pka (= 40 psi) , they set the pressures to 28psi

reckon they gave that task to the apprentice

Tyre placard is between 36 and 39 load depending, I usually run 38 - "maybe" they saw the 3 as a 2, dunno.. One of the tyres has been scrubbed on the sidewall pretty bad, wonder if the balancer had a bad day.

When I get a sec I'll recheck the oil level.

I won't be. Its the first time in 12 years I've had an issue with this dealer (previous dealer damaged panels and didn't own up to it, even though there was a hand written note on the job card about running it into a lift), the ball is currently in their court and unresolved at the moment. At the end of the day I'd rather keep them on their toes someone is taking notice and they provide good service to everyone, because there'd be a lot of people who take it all for granted.
