Guess my photos wont show until I post more
Hi all,
Finally starting to accumulate parts for my wifes 1938 Chev Sedan.
I purchased a complete L77 LS2 engine with 6spd Auto with all accessories off Darran at River Murray Auto Wreckers.
Also bought the front and rear seats out of the VE Calais the engine and trans came from.
Wouldn't mind running an aftermarket ECU with large display screen and was looking at a Holley EFI kit. Plug and Play if possible.
Yes I will install a DOD delete kit, cam, lifters, oil pump etc.
Here is my finished hot rod next to the Dirty Eight

I have a lot of work ahead of me, but learnt so much building FAST28 (the black one).
I will fabricate the new chassis utilising the original rails and front/rear crossmembers.
I will be posting all the build on Dirty Eight facebook page if you're interested. https://www.facebook.com/Dirty-Eight-350990758952893
I am new to the LS family as my previous build is extremely low tech. So any advice will be listened too.
Thanks
Royden.

Thanks for that, can I edit the post?
Great project bro, any more pics and details?
Awesome project!![]()
Thanks guys.
I have included a link to the projects facebook page if you are on fb.
I will also add updates here.
So... I (my wife) have owned this car for about 7 years. The guy I bought it off got way in over his head and no one was interested in taking it on so I got it cheap.
It came with a complete, less ride height controller, 4 wheel airbag system which I will retain after talking with my engineer.
He had cut the whole floor out, firewall and drivers B pilar and drivers side doors, as he wanted to make it into a Tudor. He must've used a spoon to make his cuts too.
He told me his Dad was a panel beater, yep he sure did beat that spoon around.
The body is in really good condition and I will metal prep the whole thing. I have already reinstalled the B pilar which was a bit of a mission with all the tapered compound curves in the sill.
Over the Xmas break, I will start to mock up the engine and trans.
We have decided on the wheels, going 22" rear and 19" front, so I need to get those so I can set up true ride height on the chassis table.

I have included 3 pics in the last post.
Can someone tell me why they wont show up?
Whenever someone posts pictures which don't appear (a former member often posted pics in his Tar Pit threads which didn't show for me and a few others) I tried looking to see if they really were there using "Reply With Quote" and could see reference(s) to attachments which for some reason didn't show. I tried the same with your post and there's nothing. No reference to attachments or links to a photo site.
Which method did you use?
I used the image URL copied from the facebook page.
Do I need to used a photo hosting website?
Yep, or use the attachment method.

Good work by SASLS1.
Just using an extra step, open the facebook link you are using and then right click on the actual picture, then "copy image link" and that link and it should work.
The link is long but it seems to work ok. Example of what the link looks like below.
