Hey Carlton,
I can't see any need for anything heavy for a transmission mount,
mine still has original mount & it is fine, they don't really take much of a flogging.
I personally like the OEM rubber stuff anyway as I'm not so fond of NVH.![]()
Howdy lads, in preparation before my beloved wags goes to see the "Wizzard" for some Tranny TLC (I am gunna replace the tranny mounts and I just ordered some Mace Unbreakable Engine Mounts - my OEM's are in need of replacing, so need something as stiff at the back).
I don't think Mace do a Tranny mount for 4lk60e, so wondering what would be a good match - keeping NVH in mind ..... but, yeah I know I will get some anyways.
As always thanks in advance for the advice.
Cheers,
Franga

Thanks mate, from what I've read, you can go stiffer on the engine mounts (so I went the Mace product as it still retains a rubber bushing) and keep the OEM rubber on the tranny (but not the other way round).
I'm a tad used to some NVH with the current setup (especially since I went the coilovers) as the interior rattles a tad here and there and there is the odd mechanical 'harshness' ......... but truth be told that's one of the reasons I love my wags, as you put the foot down and the entire car shakes and roars into life ......... not like these new poxy euro 8's that 'just' go fast....... I like the sensation of a space ship shaking and screaming during lift off..... GRIN ...... not a fan of too much civility .... so I'm prepared to accept a little more rattle and 'feel' (but not too much, she is still my daily ..... LOL).
So advice would be to stick with OEM mounts for tranny (which is MUCH cheaper LOL) ....... anyone had any experience with the energy suspension mounts (just out of curiosity)
