    Blade connectors

    Hi Lads,

Unbelievable long shot here, but does anyone happen to know what is the size of the blade connectors Holden used in their VY-VZ Bluetooth car kits? The Holden part number is as follows:

    VZ 92141210 - VZ Phone Connector Blades - GM- - Terminal Phone - $4.55 (pack of 6) $ 4.55

I've tried Holden but all sold out apparently. So, trying to find out the size, to attempt to purchase aftermarket.

    Thanks

Mouser, if you can get more details on who manufactured it you can likely cross reference it and find them.

I get all my connectors from them typically.

As an example, - 12059595 Aptiv (formerly Delphi) | Mouser Australia

That may or may not be a LS1 CAS plug.

    Re: Blade connectors

Thanks for all the help guys, I was unsuccessful with these options. However, even though this never worked before, I decided to just contact every Holden dealer between the Central Coast and Wollongong to see if anyone had a set sitting on the shelf, since Holden had none. 5th dealership was able to acquire them. I took a drive and have them now. Cheers.

If you can grab some good photos of the connectors/pins with any part numbers it might make it easier for the next person to find them at Mouser (or ebay).

Good idea, would have made life easier to have a pic. I had no idea what they looked like. I only had the part number. Mind you, I'm doubtful anyone else will need these. I'm trying something quite left field. You never know, I'll try and take a pic at home tonight.

They are TE Connectivity AMP Superseal Male Pin, possibly a 282404-1, or close to it.

Looks like them. Nice one. Alas, before I got these from Holden, I had no idea what they looked like! Just had a part number. No one else knows either. Even the Holden parts guys.

If you foobar those pins at least you can buy them for 15 cents each from Mouser now.

Narva also sell AMP Superseal kits etc, these crimpers will work for you.

Cheers. Along the lines of what the Holden guy said when I picked it up. If you need more, you now know what they actually look like. I don't need 6, but that's actually what the plug takes, yet Holden sells them in packs of 5. I reckon a lot of these went in the bin back in the day.
