as I just did. $126 for the Satnav update (along with a oil/filter+service) on the Tourer

at the same time, the service guys found I had NOT got the latest software... so bingo
now have it free of charge

that gives me a new HSV logo (woohoo) plus more stuff apparently in PANDORA (which I don't use)
    PLUS
the all important reversing lines on the rear camera

    all good with me....

Hi mate. I'm new here but am also after an update for my VN Calais V - GPS. (2015) - although I think its a 2014 build.

Any help on accessing it would be appreciated.

    Cheers - Mike

After much search I think I'm hitting a brick wall. I did find this on a review site i use - https://www.productreview.com.au/lis...tems-australia which is far from complimentary.

The only real advice I got was from a Holden dealer ... ex ... who suggested having a new unit installed.

Yes I am seeing the same sort of problems with sat nav updates on many makes & models.

Even my great little plug in TomTom which I bought about 5 years ago with "Free Lifetime Updates" cannot be updated

as TomTom has decided it is past it's use by date & will no longer support them.

(This is something that was important to me & I clearly remember I specifically asked about & was told would not happen when they were selling me the thing)

Yes - life time updates really depends on the length of the life ...

I heard 10 years was generally a maximum. 5 seems tad brief ...

I guess the other answer is to buy a new car !!!

You can't just upgrade with one of these?

Not sure B346. I guess I'd need someone who knew what they were doing to install it. Do you know something about them ? Have you tried/got one ?

Pardon my ignorance - but does it behave the same - ie allow you to save addresses to a list etc. Would it affect my CD/DVD in any way - I guess not ?

Presumably you'd let it access your phone's maps ? I'm not too bright on these things - I just know my maps are out of date.

I know not much at all about them mate, but managed to put one in our 2009 Golf and it was super easy to install and a massive upgrade over the factory unit. Maybe reach out to them and ask some questions. I found them to be very easy to deal with and extremely helpful when I asked questions.
