Parts are starting to get harder to obtain

Restoring VT - VZ era Holdens is getting to be a little more challenging as the get older with some parts getting difficult or overpriced to buy. One example is the VU - VZ ute roof sailplane with the brake light in it. Didn't think it would be that difficult to get one.

Yep, I've been collecting exterior moldings and seals for my Wagon for the past couple of years and buggered if I can find 'anything' for the rear drivers side door ......... LF, RF, LR .... no dramas, RR ......... Bzzzzzzzzzzz shit out of luck........... go figure ...... just that door (and only Wagon.....)

I know you can get replacement light bars for the actual sailplane or are you after the actual sailplane?

I reckon he is after the actual sailplane, which are like a lot of bespoke parts now unobtanium. Like you say, you can source the brake light aftermarket as I did with mine. I got an LED replacement, it was a bit
of a bastard to get in the sail plane but doable if you are patient

I was after the full sailplane with light. Having next to no luck getting one
