Yes, my father in law used to own one, I was never keen on them myself, preferring 35mm which is also little used these days.

Yes, I also still have 2 Pentax 35mm SLR cameras & all the usual lenses, accessories etc.

Paid plenty for it all back in the day but took some great photos.

Loved this man, & his films. I think "Le-Mans" is the best ever motor racing movie.

I had Pentax too, started off with a borrowed Spotmatic (Screw Mount) then a bayonet mount Super A, then an LX,..with all the lenses, from 15mm wide angle to a 135-600 zoom,...all gone now. When I bought the 135-600 zoom (S.H.) I took it to Kennedys (Pentax agent) to check it out, and they said the last time they'd seen one of them was one that belonged to A.S.I.O.!

yeah Martin.. we all who played with 35mm SLR Cameras paid reasonable money!

I found my old MINOLTA XG-M camera kit last weekend (plus several lenses .. std 50, macro and long 70-250) when digging
in the bowls of the hall cupboard for something

these days? where can you buy and get processed actual film? plenty of places will take digital camera shots
and print them but actual film? Places like Michaels are all gone ...

Film "developers"?,..yeah, for sure not many left. I think the development of phones, many of which now have excellent cameras, spelt the end for several forms of photography. I can't believe phone cameras are so good, Karen has a fairly old I Phone 7+ (which she's just mentioned to me she will have to replace as it now won't update latest software!), but the camera is pretty much faultless, and no worries about aperature, speed, focus etc!...I don't have a phone, I just use hers!

All these tech mobs are cheeky these days bringing out slight changes in things
then telling you that you need to buy a new phone because your few years old phone is too outdated
to run with the latest apps etc.

I had to recently update to a newer phone as they updated the banking apps one day
which made it such that I could no longer use the same phone banking apps which I had been using on the same phone for many years.

I am convinced they do it to make people buy more phones.
