Hi mate - I have had to learn to be patient. Come close a few times to saying f it all. Sell the fn thing.
The car is still at the workshop. Plan is to get the tune set up while waiting (again) for the insurance to be sorted. Hopefully we will get a 1,000 plus rwhp number
Took drive to Toowoomba yesterday. For a couple of reasons - one was to discuss the next steps with the repair of my car and the other was to sit in my car, start it, and put it in gear.
So we decided to issue the damager a letter of demand. I am working on that now. Giving them 2 weeks to sort it to my satisfaction or I'll sue them.
The car sounds awesome - giggled like a 12 you school girl
It is actually very easy to take someone to court for something like that.
If you go into a magistrates court the admin staff in the office are generally most helpful
in sorting out a summons to issue the clown. (You do not need to waste a cent on a solicitor.)
Once a summons is issued you will likely find that the clown will find a way of paying.
I would probably just get the car fixed asap, paying myself & chase him for reimbursement after.
All the best!![]()
I issued a Letter of Demand to old mate on Monday. He has 14 days to rectify the issue. Failing that, I will invite him to attend the Brisbane Magistrates Court.
He had written his own letter to send to his insurance broker. The letter highlighted the emotional and business costs their lack of action were having on him. So hopefully the combination of his letter and mine will encourage some positive action. As always, time will tell...................
Wish you all the best Dan.![]()
After almost 6 months from crashing into my parked car, and numerous letters and calls, the guy who crashed into my car has agreed to pay for the repair himself. Only wish he had that epiphany 4 months ago. Small mercies I guess
That is great news Dan!![]()
