Trent.
great article trent .
can you give an approximate on kms per tank with this set up and will you up the boost when harrop warranty runs out . how is the gearbox coping with the extra torque . if you up the boost you will have approximately 500 - 525rwhp
Looks awsome mate. Was it hard to modify the front grill like that? I wanna do the same thing to mine, accept with a holden badge.
I reckon on conservative driving and on highway you would see between 470-500km
Not sure what ill do about the extra boost, no doubt i'll want more power in the next few months but i probably wont do anything for a year or 2 as i'll be hopefully building a house which will cut the funds off to the SS.
The gearbox is fine, i'm sure they can hold a lot more than this, I'm pretty sure G&D's 450rwkw TT LS1 has the standard T56 and that handles it fine and Matt's old 600rwkw TT 6.5L Stroked LS2 CV8 i think had a standard T56.
The tyres are only a month old and i reckon 2 new rears will be on in a couple months! LOL!These 6 speeds, althought the shifts feel less than pretty stock, are pretty much bulletproof!
And after being in it, I dont think it needs any more boost till the rear tire width is increased![]()
It was pretty easy, i just dropped off the keys and picked it up in 2 days!Looks awsome mate. Was it hard to modify the front grill like that? I wanna do the same thing to mine, accept with a holden badge.![]()
No seriously, I think it would be hard for the average joe, but this guy is doing it every day, he didn't have any drama's.
For those looking to compare, mines pretty much the same as Trents bar the engine dept - 19s, very similar exhaust, even the same location, and untuned as yet though.
I get just over 300ks from a tank, so with a blower and cam, economy is still well and truly better than stock in Trents ute!!!
Nice ute champ, gotta love being blown
Rob
Awsome car mate and a fantastic result as well. Pumping out some prettty impressive figures there too.![]()
Top ute you have there, love the sound coming out of it.
I have been thinking about a stroker recently but after watching that I'm seriously considering a blower.........Congrats on an awesome ride.
Got to love the sound of a blown v8.Far better than a v8 that whistles and sneezes..........or sounds like a ricer.
Love the ride very Nice smooth look sleeper style.
