Getting the correct offset is the key to fitting wide rims.
Looks great..but how the hell did he get away with that?
Hes got 20 x 10" in the back with 275/35? what the??
I've heaps of trouble with mine scrubbing, and hes is SSL? Man!
Ive got 20 x 9.5" 245/35 in back with Kings SL and it scrubs like a mofo. Got the gaurds rolled and even had to get a panelbeater to cut the whole inner lip down a bit...its dosnt scrub anymore..well just the TINIEST bit.....but hes got wider wheels/tyres and he dosnt have a prob???? Geez whats hes secret?? lol
Looks good though. Im at a loss....i dunno why all these guys rides have great height, with 20" wheels yet mine had heaps of dramas and still isnt 100%. hmmm..

He has had the gaurds rolled really tight and jacked out too. Removed the plastic inner guards and did a bit of slight moding to the inner guard itself, And sorry the tyres are 275/30/20 not 35 series checked again today. But yes I think offset is the key. Also the part where the bumper bolts on by the mud flap had to ground away abit. Doesnt rub at all he says and he drives the s&*t out of it. Loads it up with stuff too.
yeh he sounds like he did some tinkering with it. I had my gaurds rolled, removed the plastic inner guards and cut the lip in tighter as well. I also took down where the screws go into the 1/4 panel from the rear bumper....it dosnt scrub much, but with some weight in the back its a touch rubbing. I havnt tried to pump out my gaurds at all..heard it looks crappy. But yeh, looks the good though![]()
Hey, the 20 x 10's look mad. Stance from the back must look tuff as ay.
So all you guys that've had their guards rolled - Where did you's get them done and was there any repainting involved and if not - did they use the special rolling tool i've seen.
Cheers fellas.
Everyone keep the the sick pics cumin.
I got mine done at Wholesale Suspension in Penrith NSW. No they only repaint if the paint cracks from rolling incorrectly and not being heated right. Yeh they used their special rolling gizmo on mine. Looks good, nice clean job.
Yeah sweet. Anyone recommend anywhere in & around Melbs?
Here is my VY SS S2 Ute which I no longer have.............was a cool ute though.
When I sold it, it had lightweight OZ Racing Rims with Bilstein shocks/struts, Mafless tune, full system with 1 3/4 extractors and CAI.
These pics were taken with less than 200km on the clock the day I picked it up.
