    I don’t warm up my modern cars as I understand it is not necessary.

    The coolant temp may increase quickly but my cars that have oil temperature gauges indicate it takes close to ten minutes for the oil to reach operating temperature.

    On my AMG the oil temperature reading on the screen keeps flashing on and off until it reaches operating temperature as a warning to keep off the throttle until it gives the ok.

    As I said that usually takes closer to ten minutes from a cold start.
