(sorry if these questions are a bit n00b but I haven't owned a Commodore since the 80's )
The factory headlight switch is different when fog lights are fitted, ie it pulls out to turn on the fogs..

Thanks Cashie, new harness has provision for driving lights so was thinking about fitting some!

Do you have any idea about the Relays?
    (and the dual zone CC?)

Sorry if it causes confusion, but, driving lights on VZ Adventra LX8 are hooked straight to be on when headlights are on. No special switch function that I can see. My LX8 also has a lights always on feature (except when Parkers are on or ignition off) during weekend I will take a photo of the dual zone console.

    LOL it did

So your headlight switch doesn't have the push/pull?

My VY has the same normal switch as the VZ, neither have factory fogs.

No push pull. Looks like a regular commodore switch.
The earlier vt's had push in/out switch.
Nb there is a diff between driving and fog lights, at least for me.

    Thanks!

I live at 500m so it's often foggy up here and I can see them actually being useful!

My Addy is without fogs (VY CX8) however when i bought it the dealer said all i needed was the lights, a relay and new switch (pull out type, which mine isnt). The wiring is all there.

Thanks Driver, ditto on the CX8 so looks like an easy upgrade for that car!

Just have to get a relay and a couple of the switches and of course the lights for both cars!
    --------
    Today!
Fitted the new HVAC unit, much easier than the last car!

Finished washing the engine bay and clipped/connected the new harness, also sorted the relay issue..

This is going to look like new when you are finished!!
Did you sort out the fog lights switch? Every VY/VZ I have seen has the push/pull type switch but it appears some are saying the Cross6/8 may be different?

I'll detail the subframe when I pull it to install the engine, the car only has 60k Km's on it and apart from being missused by a tradie is mint, no accidents ever

I'll upspec to dwell control on the intermittant wipers while I'm at it and grab a 6 disc stereo, think I'll see if I can get the push/pull headlight switches for the fogs, I like the idea of being able to turn them on/off as needed.
(whole idea of fogs is they're low so you don't get glare back in the screen, having low beams on defeats this)

I think it's only VZ Adventras that are hard wired?

Just waiting on a couple of sensors/hoses/clips from Holden and a part to beef up the trans from the USA, for phase #2 I'll rebuild the trans with all the good bits available but for now I'll just strengthen the drum.

    Today!
    Reassemble the interior day....

Going slowly as I'm cleaning each part before refitting and to double check the loom routing I pulled the Wagon apart a little
(also wanted to check some of the Climate control bits as the Tonner never had it so I haven't actually "seen" where it all goes)

Put it back together and headed into town for lunch at the bakery, all part of my "don't be an OCD nutjob" on this build!

Not much to show yet so no pic.
