LOL was Dark when I finished

I'll snap a couple in the morning, sorry

The wiring I did today was Phone and a few accesories, all done in 22g Tefzal with Deutsche connectors (a touch overkill but had left overs from the last project)

Yep, Tefzel is a bit of overkill, use a bit of that at work. Should hold up well and handle a bit of heat from the mobile phone..

    Today End!
Headed out early this morning, couldn't see the end of the hood for fog!

Picked up a bunch of parts then did some running around in Melbourne grabbed Macca's for lunch (the new Brownie bites are awesome)

Got home and had a bit of a fiddle installing some of the new parts, still need to track down a pair of the VZ split engine covers...

    Thanks DD

I don't really keep track of what a project costs, I'd probably drop down dead if I did.....

I don't have any other bad habits so can afford to play.

Agree, I hope you didn't pay full Holden price for the headunit, these are available new very cheaply from Holmart etc..

BTW, looking very good, looking forward to seeing the engine in.

    here MrHat

Today's effort was one of the less intense $$$ wise, rocker covers hurt a bit as I milled the Coil posts off the old ones for clearence in the last car (yes it was that tight)...

Hopefully someone will see this and has a pair of engine covers they'd like to part with, I've posted an WTB ad just waiting for it to be approved!

With any luck the rest of the Auto parts will be here next week then I can reassemble it bolt it to the engine and into the car

    Mate this is looking tops

I look forward to the updates every day. If I could give some constructive critisium/advice. the handbrake, gear lever and steering wheel would look good in the brushed silver like the centre console surround

good luck with the WTB thread, hopefully few members help you out where they can with some good prices
    I'm not a hoon, I'm just competitive

    Thanks Toddler

I use these threads as a bit of a sounding board and it helps me plan/organise my builds, it's always good to get input from other people as they often see things "differently" and can add a lot.

My other threads have always ran to about 4000 posts before I shut them down and start a new version (I'm a SuperMod on a US forum so bandwidth isn't an issue)

Being a bit isolated at the new property forums are a good way to "hang out" and keep in touch, bit like an interactive blog, I wasn't sure how well this concept was going to work here as at first LS1.com felt a bit harsh/confrontational

Happy to say everyone that's contributed have been positive and supportive so thanks for that!

Always welcome any offtopic discussion in my threads, think of it as an online version of my real shed where people can drop by and have a yakk about what they're up to, it helps keep things in perspective.

I can see what you mean about the brushed interior parts, maybe later once I get it all running and get phase #2 under way I can concentrate on making it a little prettier, I tend to build for function first, none of my cars have ever been what you'd call show quality but have all been "drivers"!

All I can say is IMPRESSED! Not only for your level of dedication to getting the build right, but also for your dedication to keeping the forum informed

Now I'm done blowing wind up your skirt I have to say I'm looking forward to as many details you have for the Climate Control conversion as I want to do this on my VY as well, plus the intermittent wiper conversion too. (and of course the V8 conversion as this is what brought me here in the first place!).

I don't think mine will be as complicated as yours as I don't need to worry about the ESP stuff, but info is power as they say, I'll be learning as I go but I don't have the time to have the ute off the road for too long as it's for work.

I had a heap of stuff written here but I've moved it to my own thread to keep yours on topic, so if you have time would appreciate some advice.

Keep snapping pics and gotchas, you're doing a great job at a high level of detail.
