AS A result of tests its Funny weve discovered the spoilers on the back of the utes are a waste of time they run in disturbed Air!!!!! The Ford utes that won in Adelaide had NO spoilers on but ran the new Flowline Lids!!!- All the Holdens run with NO spoilers and run the GTO lids from **** Top!

Lazerback. It's the cleanest lid I've seen. In profile you wouldn't even know it was there

    Re: ve ute hard lids

I ordered a flat EGR lid through Opposite lock here in Perth. Apparently it arrived yesterday so hopefully get it fitted up this coming week if not early next. I think they look quite good. Just hope the red paint match is close from EGR to Holdens.

    Re: ve ute hard lids

I got one of these through a mob in adelaide

    http://www.blueys.com.au/lids/

$1500/1600 fitted from memory, like the look and looked great new but shrink back over time from the fibreglass and the lid isnt a flat finish, going to get my mate to give it a buzz and repaint soon, pic when new

Thanks for that Doco, yeah there definetly slim. But how strong are they, they look like they would be pretty easy to break into if someone wanted to?

Maybe it's a perception thing but they don't look like they'd be very strong, plus I don't actually like the "almost nothing" look (personal preference I know).

I quite like the look of twin humps too, but find the rest of the lid is too thick, I also thing anything overhanging the body looks untidy, every one I've seen casts an odd shadow, looks unfitted. The lazerback feels more tailored. I hear you though, like anything visual, everyone has different tastes.

Seems pretty tough to me, it's aircraft aluminum and very stiff. 1 key hole but 3 locking points.

Yeah no worries, i will pay $2100 fitted. That includes shipping to the shop here in Perth and painted of course.

EGR make the lids for Holden so yes paint match shouldn't be too much of an issue (hopefully). The build quality is awesome though.

    Re: ve ute hard lids

Got my EGR lid on yesterday (sorry no pic other than on FB atm). The build quality is fantastic and the paint matches very well. Looks great, imo, a lot better than the lumpy ones, getting great feedback from people already.

I would highly reccommend paying the extra dosh for the quality product!

    Cheers,

    Michael.

i have the same lid, 4yrs and still going strong! mine hasn't shrinked? nor my mates so i dont know whats happened there? i prefer these over the plastic crap as do some of my mates who seen mine then got one themselves. to anyone contemplating a lazer lid, i had one, they are made of alloy or at least were, are heavy on the gas struts and they tend to sag after a while -the lid not the struts-
