sounds awesome, nice to hear a car that doesn't hunt on idle to the point that it almost stops.

That's from blower surge and from what fuel they run.

Whats the go with him on and off the throttle constantly, is there a reason for it?

What are some details on it?

On and Off the throttle is cool

That car is tough, a bit if WOT action is required to win us all over though i suspect?

KAL SPL - It's from low idle speed and over fuelling, a well tuned blown injected car will still hunt slightly once you put it in gear, but will idle at a constant rpm.

BEARWOOD - When let idle, a lot of injector hats freeze up which closes up the gap between the butterflies and the hat while still pouring the fuel in, and if you let it run long enough they will flood the engine to the point that the revs drop right off and stall. A quick stab of the throttle "clears it's throat" so to speak, but i think the guy in question here is more interesting in making some noise and a bit of a show haha.

    Re: Blown VE ute

This is caused by a rich/lean cycle at idle. As the motor leans out the RPM's increase and richen up the motor, when the motor richens the RPM's decrease and the motor leans out again. This continual cycle is known as "blower surge". With proper tuning, some of this surging should be able to be eliminated.
    But why would you

    Blown VE ute

Your right theres Defiantly no such thing as a Detroit Diesel 14V71 Industrial / Marine / Construction Engine only 2,3,4,6,8,12 & 16 cylinder. I'm pretty sure a 14-71 Blower are an aftermarket thing.

Will pump enough to supply 14 cylinders of 71 Cubic inches (994ci/16288cc).. it's just a way to rate the capacity of Blower, our common ones are 2300, i:e 2300cc or 140Cubic Inch
