Exactly the same as putting Holden badges on a Daewoo....

    They are never the same.

Does it have a diesel variant? One of the big issues I see with Commodore / Falcon is that a 2.5 tonne diesel 4WD will be more fuel efficient, which makes it a hard sell. A diesel variant would certainly open up new markets for it.

Only reason i am predicting Sigma II is that it is compatible with alot of Zeta, more so than Sigma I

On the other hand you could be completely correct with the Alpha as that will be the new CTS platform as of 2014. All depends how small they want to go, good thing is Alpha is only AWD and RWD so it's sounding ok to me.

Considering the commodore was based on a mix of a rekord and senator slapping a holden badged worked ok. Later models were based on the opel omega, and no one complained holden slapped its badge on that?

Most of the older 'daewoo' products are based on opel platforms with opel designed engines.

I see Sigma II is current CTS, sorry, thought current CTS was Sigma I.

But the next model 2014 CTS is going to be Alpha based. STS Sigma II was replaced by the XTS which is Epsilon II, The SRX Sigma II went to the Theta platform, leaving only the Chinese SLS (Chinese stretched STS) on Sigma II, doesn't look like Sigma II has much of a future.

Yeah but most of the parts were made by Daewoo in Korea,
Daewoo has never had a good name for quality,
even the Daewoo made Cruze still gets more of it's share of complaints.
The Australian made Holden Commodores are a far better built car with much better CSI.

Why would they make a fwd midsize the same as camry, aren't camry/aurion sales down even more than commodore, like 70%?

I like the B pillar, the waistline looks like an old man with his pants pulled up to his chest...

Can't believe they would have put the effort and expenditure into moving the A pillar and redesigning door frames etc ... compare distance from front door to wheel arch.
Looks about 100mm .... VE is about 3 times that distance.
