nope, they were going to send me the info on colours and options with trade in stuff and finance and deposit info. salesman even thought it was shitty about the brakes. its only 2 weeks til the launch and around 6 weeks til the vf hsv hit the market so they will need some info and pricing as the want to have pre orders in for the first production run as that run will be for pre orders
I wonder if the 430kw is 'honest' or a ford '335'... If honest, then it's not too much more than the FPV puts out. If they do an FPV, then it'll be closer to 500kw... Either way, some cracking car choices coming up!
The lease is up next year, and i'm thinking of a GS as a 'gap' year and waiting to see what FPV come back with in the GT to combat the HSV. HSV or FPV, we're lucky with the performance we get for the dollar we spend!
Maybe i can convince the wife to get the GTS, and i'll have the GT... best of both worlds... She currently has her eyes on a Jeep SRT8, so i'm happy with that too haha
That's assuming they even bother with a new model GT :S
You'd think that the 6 pot brakes would come standard given that they do on the ZL1..
I had a call from my dealer yesterday as they are trying to get pre-orders for the first run. He said the only choices/options are manual/auto, colour and sunroof. Said 6 pots are standard and that GTS gets all the goodies that Senator gets (I think in previous versions Sen got some things over GTS i.e. rain sensing wipers??). He also said there will probably be a $10K option to add a blower to all the other HSV's, but not the LSA (I had told him a couple of months ago that my preference would be a Senator with the LSA, but could 'slum it' in a GTS if only it got the LSA). I am not sure if this would be a HSV option or just a dealer saying they can put one on, which anyone could get done as a dealer fit anyway.
This was dealer talk too so all taken with a big grain of salt.
As I mentioned earlier, big brakes on gts (was never going to be anything else).
The only supercharger on non gts models will be through walkinshaw or dealer fit.
2 weeks and all will be revealed....who is pumped ?![]()
Just spoke to my dealer also (good bloke remembered me straight away from my Senator Purchase in 2010, that's the sign of a good salesman!).
Said they will have full details by the 15th. Looking at around $102 on the road as a guess.
Everything in moderation, including moderation.
Yeah my bloke said about $95k RRP, and approx $100K on road. I am not sure how this works out, LCT must be at least $6K, stamp duty $3.5K?, dealer delivery ??, rego & CTP $1K.
Was also told 15th for GTS release and all info availble on it then.
Anyway, if they are out the door at $100K i think that is about on the money for what this vehicle will be.
Official release 15th. Standard range in dealerships in June and gts July/ August.
Media release was last two days. Embargo for them ends 15th.
Final on road price will vary from state to state.
Just a little bit "extra".
We had Cameron Mcconville talking to us at the HSVOC meeting last night about his new V8 Supercars role.....BUT, he's also been involved in testing the GTS, and of course he couldn't give any details, but all he did say was...(with a BIG grin on his face!), "You guys are going to be pretty happy with this car".
Cheers, Pickles.
