I'll believe it when I see it.... The Janes are too busy racking up lawyer bills taking each other to court to run drag races...

    Hi

I am in Patterson Lakes which is 5 to 10 minutes from both Cranbourne and Frankston South. I broke a driveshaft at Heathcote and the owner Russell put it on his tandem trailer and delivered it back to my place FREE OF CHARGE.
You say Cranbourne is too far from Heathcote.....doesn't the owner live out Cranboune or perhaps somewhere towards Nyora?
It is all excuses I remember when AQICSS would happily cruise up and is from Warrugal and lets not even go into the blokes that happily come from Sydney and Adelaide!
But yes it would be great to see Calder open again but strongly doubt the owner would ever bring my busted car home for free for me..

    Regards,

    Richard

I live near Pearcedale and if I want to drag (which I only do on average about once per year at most just to see how the latest mods are going) then once I jump in the car I'm more than happy to drive all the way to Heathcote because I find it a much more pleasant and friendly place to be, rather than Calder which is still a not insignificant trip at about half the distance.

........... i already go more than once a year and this is only to spectate!!!! Also going to Calder would probably cost me about $150 less and thats before i even race!!

Re: Calder park opening for drags again soon!!

To each his own but for me it's about 110km further to Heathcote and it's an easy drive so the 220km extra round trip probably costs me only about $30 - $35 extra in fuel. I believe Calder is now quite expensive ($100+???) to drag at whereas last time I went to Heathcote it was (IIRC) $60 for entry and dragging.
