Does not sound like factory paint mate.
Sounds more like it might have been damaged in transit and patched up by a mobile touch up guy before you picked it up.

Was thinking the same thing... Headlights aren't with the car when it's painted...

Bare minimum I'd expect is for them to have the car professionally detailed...

Well they got all the photos and video (run a cloth over it and you can hear it).

Waiting to hear back from them

Or it was parked near a car that was. Happens all the time, they'll do touch ups on trade ins out in the lot.

Why am i not surprised with Wakelings. Have bought a few cars of them and there service centre is absolute garbage. Every single service they'd ring up trying to upsell injector cleaning.

Could have been but I doubt it, the guy posted he had to remove some masking tape from the headlights.
Surely nobody would mask up only the headlamps on a brand new car if they were painting another car near it,
    they would move it away.

Not always, have seen cars lined up next to each other getting done, in fact just recently (they did tape the cars up sitting next to the one getting painted - fixing bumper scrapes). When I worked at a dealer back VS era they'd line all the used Clubsports up and spray the front bar inserts etc grey to make them look like GTS's. Just saying it happens.

Tape was on the Lowe lip front bumper and lower left wing, and it wasn't masking tape. Was maybe more the tape that they may use to hold the plastic wraps the use.

Might be transport tape used to protect paintwork during transport and hasn't been removed properly at the time of pre delivery inspection.

When I bought my wife the Barina Spark 2 years ago it came with plastic wrapping still around the steering column height adjust, window washer bottle dry, plastic wrapping rubbish jammed in the glovebox and dirty carpet. I'm sure Holden dealers are doing it tough but it's hard tp support them when they drop the ball like this. The sales guy delivering the car to me was mortified.

    Re: VF Commodore/HSV Owner's Problems & Complaints

I have 2 further gremlins with my Calais v.
Friday the my link system shut down while driving, reset itself, shut down again, then back to normal.
The Saturday while using my iPhone to play music, went to make a call, the music played continuously. Pulled over, turned car off, opened door, waited, re started and all was fine.
Holden took the car today as I voiced my complaints to a very senior person at Holden.
Confirmed that rear temp exceeds front temp by over 20 degrees. They are working on this.
The seats do heat on remote start. But, only for a short time on low. Hence why it fees like they don't work on remote start. Nothing in owners annual about that!
Holden tech took mirrors apart and they work ok. Yet, last week with outside temp at 3 degrees, nothing was happening, Ongoing review.
Good to know the Holden engineer could replicate my issue with the HVAC. Not the same issue or repair that another member had fixed at Paterson Cheney.
