If it was done in a joking manner it might be funny, but there seemed to be a real undertone of "we really don't like each other". For a car that is fitted with an all new diff and engine, they only made general passing comments about the technology rather than actually talking it up. It was a bit like "It got the 430kw supercharged LSA engine, but you all already know what that is so I won't bother saying anything more about it. FYI It was pretty hard to fit it in though". The closest they came to showing you the EDI features was having the G meter on screen as the car went around corners, which is useful for wankfactor but not much else. If you already have one on order, the footage of it doing massive skids might get you a bit excited in the pants while you wait for it to arrive, but for anyone who wasn't already a HSV buyer it did nothing to help potential sales. All the "fun" footage came after Tander said he turned all that new technology OFF, so that's hardly a good advertisement to spend the extra money to get that technology is it?
The car itself is awesome, but HSV missed a big opportunity to get potential new buyers looking at one with this rather lacklustre production.
