Thanks for the pics of the tranny pan, I've been wondering about ground clearance when its fitted, doesn't look too low at all.
No problems. It is obviously a little lower being a deeper pan, but it doesn't look like it would be a problem to me.

    Hi Imoengnr,

By the way, I'm also an engineer (software)

What packages would you recommend ??

As far as I know the redline brembo's would require me to change my rims. Whereas the Harrop Mono Blocks would fit behind my 19" supersports.

Grab a set of these mate, will save you a fortune in melted leads.

Hmmmm, good point, didn't think about the wheels......... Harrop monobloc's versus Redline Brembo's plus different wheels.

Go the Harrop's, that way you get good brakes all round.

Looks like the same OTR as mine. Funny thing I dont really notice the sucking sound of the intake to much is yours Vf I cant remember as mine is pretty quiet in the cabin even with the 3inch exhaust because of the improvements in the VF noise isolation.

Only other place I have seen them is Outlaw Speed shop here in Adelaide, but a fair bit more expensive. I don't have a photo sorry and the car they were on has just been sold
They were really good quality and fit though and a breeze to install.

You will be happy with them mate. Ironically, I got rid of my seriously modified 304rwkw Heads and Cam VT SS and bought a 2010 VE Calais V. So far I am loving it.

Congrats mate, I do love mine.

P.S. I reckon once I put those little socks on the spark plug boots they will be touching the extractors. Will that be a problem?

    Re: Order of modifications

What plugs and leads do you guys recommend?

Greg said someone of the aftermarket leads are less bulky and would give greater clearance to the extractors.

    Re: Order of modifications

    Hey dude!
NGK recommended plugs are - IZTR5B11

For leads i'm going a set of MSD 8.5mm - (These have a thinner plug and should clear the headers)
(Running a set of Top Gun atm - but they are due for replacement)

    Re: Order of modifications

From all I've read the best leads are the standard ones. I appreciate you have reasons for looking for alternatives, so just sayin'.

    Re: Order of modifications

I bought a pile of MSD bits and made my own set of leads for another project as the Factory leads weren't ever going to fit, I cut them down to reuse when the engine went back into a Holden, They do an Orange High Temp boot and you can tweak the angle away from the pipes.
