Yeah I have had to put up with it, no other choice. And no offer of a free service :-(

    Just curious.

Can someone with a redline please check their boot and tell me if I'm missing a grommet or something. I just noticed this hole and it looks strange . Thanks.

    3. I can only get blisteringly hot on HI. 30 degrees or less is freezing cold.

VE Calais V MY08 was a fantastic car.

Ensure that the Remote Start Auto Heat Seat is selected. This feature will come on at a low setting, and will only be activated when the external vehicle temperature is less than 10 degrees Celsius. Quote from Holden web site re heated seats

Hope this helps with Question/ problem 2

    Re: VF Commodore/HSV Owner's Problems & Complaints

Following a recent upgrade to the computer(s), there is a definite improvement with the HVAC system, though I still think there is room for improvement (intend using a temp monitor to check).

HOWEVER, problems which were NOT fixed are:
    - iPod menu still misses artists, albums etc.
    - POI’s are NOT cleared after startup, have to tap the clear menu item each time.

NEW problems that appeared last Saturday..

    NEW – Lost “Environment” settings

Stopped car in Camperdown. When I restarted some time after, the settings I had for fan, aircond, vents was not restored, but an even older setting was. This has not happened before. It looks like the “current” settings were not saved when the car was stopped so it reverted to the previous?

    NEW – Lost sound

Car was restarted after stopping for fuel in Geelong, the sound system came up ok, but about 10 seconds later the front speakers stopped working. This meant no indicator clicks etc. Stopped/restarted car, no change.

After a rest of about an hour, car was restarted and speakers were restored.

Have to say not impressed with Holden's action on all this!

    Re: VF Commodore/HSV Owner's Problems & Complaints

I had the mylink screen freeze on me last week . Had music playing through phone on iPod mode. Music kept playing but couldn't change screen to anything else . Even reverse camera didn't come up . Turned car off for 10 minutes and on restart it came good . Also noticed the rear screen seal on passenger side top doesn't come out to edge of glass . Mentioned both issues to service dept today on 3000 km inspection . They couldn't find fault with mylink, which was fine , as it's only happened the once , and they are going to replace the rear screen when they get one in . All in all happy with car so far and happy with service from dealer ( Robina Holden ).

    Re: VF Commodore/HSV Owner's Problems & Complaints

    Hi everyone,

I've had my SV6 since late July last year and the only real issues I have so far is the "something" rattles or moves in the front passenger door when turning right, the seatbelt alarm (when someone has released the buckle whilst moving) doesn't activate, the parking sensors sometimes don't work and occasionally i get a warning that the boot is not closed, when it is??

No biggie really, I still love to drive it

    cheers
    Damo

    Re: VF Commodore/HSV Owner's Problems & Complaints

Looks like ive got to take mine to the dealer now. Front seat same as others have had problems but the thing that is pissing me off the most now is aircon. If I turn it on it wont turn off seems to have a mind of its own some times it turns off if I turn the fan off other times there is massive delay like 15 or 20 mins driving it finally turns its self off.

Word from an insider mate is the HVAC issues are well known and have been present in the USA models that use this soft/hardware combination and may never be "fixed".... sorry guys.

    Re: VF Commodore/HSV Owner's Problems & Complaints

I just don't see the issue with the HVAC, since mine had the original update done it works perfectly. I set it on 22 and it keeps me nice and cool even on the hottest days this week.
