The torque from a stroker will be very handy then.

Yep after speaking to one of my Holden mates the EFI heads/Stroker makes a really nice combination.

    Re: Project LE

    Today!

Heard back from my machine shop early this morning, SCAT crank has some chatter marks on #1 Main and is unacceptable, quick call to my supplier had a replacement set over within the hour, this one is good other than the BE's are a bit loose for a street engine, so doing the same as I did with my blower engine and running a half set of +1 bearings to close it down a touch..

Headers should be back from the coaters next week so hope to get into it all then!

Bit of an enforced break the last few days since finishing the Lexcen hasn't hurt me too much

This is a couple of levels up from the Kit I looked at in the start, still built to a price though so there are a few small quality niggles as we found this morning!

Way cheaper, my guy at Precision did the kit for not much more than the cheapie I looked at first, No on the Cam, really need to do some research to see what will work with this Combo and his intended use, Touring and Towing.. open to suggestions!

    I reckon Camtech's 222/222 .511/.511 112 would be a good thing.
They say a powerband of 1800-5200 but that will come down 500rpm at each end with the extra cubes. Its similar to Cranes 284 but with more lift. Its about the limit of the bananas but will have plenty of pull with enough top end to be fun.

Cranes 276 which is the same as the Group A grind has always been a good thing for a streeter and will have bulk low end torque in a stroker.
    That's 214/214 .464/.464 110

    Re: Project LE

I'd probably lean towards the Camtech due to its wider LSA, thanks for that WL!

Don't feel bad, even the top of the range SCAT isn't what it used to be. Precision are good to deal with though!

I've used the Camtech before, it works pretty well with the better flowing heads.

What are you doing with the stock intake? If he isn't going to rev it that hard probably not going to be a problem.

    Re: Project LE

Yeah have to say I have had nothing but good from Precision Luke even before my mate started working there!

I'd say this will rarely get anywhere near the redline so the BoB intake should be ok, don't happen to have a part number for that cam?

Found it, CT248 513, you wouldn't consider one of their small Rollers like the CT2248 480B-110?
