Would it really matter where the battery is located to run accessories? The fuse panel is a great start & ain't always located near the Battery
On another note received a call the new ride has landed from Mexico @ last!! Going in on Monday to get it all sorted & work out when I can take delivery.

The boot location for the sedan is ok.

It’s better than the Utes where the battery is behind the passenger seat and you need to be part contortionist to get to it.

My Redline arrived at the dealership last Thursday and they have told me the blackout sections are on backorder, has anyone else been told this?

It’s not your ignorance it's my bad terminology.

It’s the black DRL, fender & front grill surrounds.

The dealer has said my Ute will be ready for pickup next week without the black surrounds I’ve optioned as there is no stock and they are currently on backorder.

I’m still waiting to be told when they’ll be available and so far I’m unwilling to take delivery until the vehicle is ready as per the contract.

I see there is an abundance of them for sale on eBay and was wondering if anyone else had been told they were not available.

Take the car without them then keep the chrome ones as spares when they do come in, I'm pretty sure the dealer was not planning on giving you the chrome ones after they fit tha black ones.

Received my new SSV Ute M6 in heron white this arvo. Never had an LS3 before but Holden have got this combo right straight outta the box. The M6 with the 3.70 LSD is superb. This thing screams in stock form & very happy with my purchase. To anyone interested the Bi modal is selectable through the screen & can be toggled on or off so not like the HSV's where it's automatically switches on etc. Also like the fact the esp & stability control can totally be overidden too. Getting used to the HUD even though it's a slight distraction/nuisance. The electric handbrake with the M6 is interesting!!

After having my redline for a bit over 2 years now , i don't think i could have a car without the HUD . Once you get used to it its fine . I honestly don't think i have ever looked at the speedo in the dash since i have had the car .

Don't get me wrong I like the idea, though never experienced it previously! Obviously it will take me a while to get my head around it that's all. Bear in mind have been driving now for thirty odd years & anything from a sedans right through to semi trailers none of which ever had HUD in them!

So, question about the speedo, has anyone tested the speedo accuracy against a run of the mill GPS whether that's a Garmin/TomTom etc or GPS in the phone? Curious as my VYIISS M6 is dead on, unlike other new cars that reckon they are doing the speed limit but are actually 5 - 10ks under it. Drives me ****in' nuts!!

Good idea and worth a try but knowing dealers I’m sure they’ll want the chrome ones back
