    If you can rotate the comp 90deg clockwise would be better & less oil issues, your bracket will allow that as the 508 mount points should be symmetrical too.

    I would have thought being a Pressurised Closed Loop system it wouldn't make a difference?

    Partly, though with refrigerant & oil you can have a condition of liquid migration where the refrigerant will shift the oil & when the comp starts, starvation of oil will eventually kill it. On the same token too much oil can cause a myriad of other problems too. The latter LS comps are are a different animal to those.

    That same comp was used on the early commodores & generally vertically up would be the best. If that is a problem for hose fittings 90deg off sets are available.

    Thanks Mick, will have to check Bonnet clearance, don't think it'll be an issue in a HX though

    Nah one of my suppliers Laser cuts them, I just modded them to suit the AC Compressor, for what they cost it's just not worth firing up the CNC to do em..

    Did the rework on the bracket to correct the belt alignment, also rotated the compressor.
