Looks like your workmanship has refined a little over the years IJ.

Figured it wasn't a bad effort for my first attempt at a tube chassis with minimal tools..

Funny you say that as the 427 went into the Torana and a 253 went into the HQ

Well there's a whole lot more to that car than first meets the eyes in the picture.

    Today!

Managed to save some $$$ on the High Pressure Hose, was going to use AN fittings and Braided Teflon as I did on the Lexcen, the Astra hose was long enough to reach so I just put the Holden end on it job done!

IJ do you find these iron block early motors are less obliging in oil priming compared to the latter ones? Do remember a 253 that I had reconditioned many years ago took quite a long time to prime & that was a brand new pump too.

I usually put a lot of the Moly assembly lube I use into the pump so they prime a bit quicker Mick, gear pumps are bit "leakier" than the Gerotor style so need a helping hand.

Yes I used everything in the one I mentioned above including pre filling the filter too, in the end it was just persistence it came good & stayed that way for it's life!

    Today!

Went out early this morning ready to get stuck back into the Stroker Engine... bzzzz WRONG..

Scat in their wisdom decided that making a stroker to go into a Holden engine it'd be a great idea to use the 2x Chev Woodruff keys instead of the 1x Holden one...

I assumed they'd be in the Crank Box but nope after ringing my supplier they're not included... seriously guys WTF...

He's posting me out a pair no charge..

Damn thing is going to fight me every step of the way.
